Borrowing Related Services (Cardholders Only)

The following services are only available to library cardholders in good standing (no fines, lost books, etc.)

Book Reserves

If there are any books that are checked out of the library that you would like to read, you can place a book reserve, or “hold” on the book(s). We will then contact you when the book becomes available for you to check it out.

Book Requests

As a cardholder, if there is a book that you would like to read that the library does not currently own, you can place a book request for the book by coming in to the library and filling out a book request card. We will then try our best to obtain the book for you and notify you when the book becomes available.

Book Delivery

If you are a Senior Citizen aged 60 or older, and/or you are a disabled or handicapped person who lives in Asbury Park and is unable to make it to the library, we will come to you. We’ll arrange a visit to your home to sign you up for a library card.  Then we’ll set up a schedule for delivery and pick up of your library books.
