There Are Tons of Ways to Help Your Local Library
Here are a few examples you might not have thought of:
- Know of a great magazine you think we should have, but we don’t subscribe to it? Contact us about ordering a one or two year gift subscription for the library.
- Were you out and about and saw a great map or poster you think the Junior Library could use? Buy it and send it to us!
- Have you seen a great presentation by an organization? Sponsor a workshop to be held at the library. Help start a community based learning initiative.
- Out buying school supplies for your kids? Many kids are in need of simple things like notebooks, pencils, etc. Buy an extra notebook or two, donate it to your local library and help an unfortunate child get a leg up on the school year.
This is only just a sampling of ways that you can make a difference. There are so many ways to make an impact on your community by supporting your local library. And remember, there are thousands of people that use our library services, people who would greatly benefit from your seemingly small act of kindness.
