Book Donations

Don’t you dare throw those books away!

We accept donations of new or used children’s and adult books and magazines all year round! (We do ask, however, that you call us ahead of time at (732) 774-4221 if you have more than 1 box or bag of books.)

Please note: we do not accept donations of outdated encyclopedias or textbooks, or donations of materials in less than fair condition.

What happens to all those donated books?

Book donations are either added to our collection or forwarded to our book sale table located in the Main Room of the Adult Library. Books are sold for only $.25 each unless otherwise marked, and magazines are just $.10 (excluding National Geographic magazines which are $.25 each).

All money made from the sale of books directly benefits the library and allows us to provide more books and information services to our patrons.

Books that aren’t sold within a reasonable amount of time are put on our Free Book shelves located in the vestibule area of Adult Library.
